FREE Lunch and Learn on Emergency and Disaster Planning for People with Disabilities

With hurricane season upon us, do you have a personal emergency and disaster plan ready to go, especially if you have a disability? If a mandatory evacuation is announced and you have no transportation, are you pre-registered with the appropriate county office to secure your transportation? Do you know the rules if you need to evacuate to a Red Cross evacuation center if you have nowhere else to go?

Get this information and more from a panel of experts including Jay Wiggins, Director of the Emergency Management Agency / Homeland Security for Glynn County, at a FREE Lunch and Learn Seminar on “Emergency and Disaster Planning for People with Disabilities” on Thursday, July 27, 2017, 11:30am – 1:00pm, at the Georgia Department of Labor, Brunswick Career Center, 2517 Tara Lane, Brunswick, GA.

Lunch and the event is free and open to the public, but reservations are required. Call Mary Brown at 912-264-7244 by Tuesday, July 25 as space is limited.

Sponsored by the Brunswick Glynn County Mayor’s Committee on Services for the Disabled and the GA Department of Labor.
