The Mayor’s Committee has selected McDonald’s on St. Simons Island to receive our Employer of the Year Award based on their noteworthy efforts to recruit, hire, train and retain employees with disabilities. We will present the award at our annual award luncheon on Wednesday, October 18, 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM, at the Ole Times Country Buffet on Scranton Rd., Brunswick GA and you are invited to attend.
Lunch will be provided FREE to attendees, but reservations are required. Please call 912-264-7287 to make your reservation by Monday, October 16. (NOTE: This is the Vocational Rehabilitation Services number and they are assisting us.)
We hold this event annually as part of October’s National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM). This year’s NDEAM theme is “Inclusion Drives Innovation.” We could not agree more and hope you will join us to help acknowledge McDonald’s local efforts and promote the employment of people with disabilities in general, not just in October, but throughout the year.
