LIFE is proud to celebrate our long-standing partnership with GAP Ministry, a volunteer group from Effingham County whose mission is to share God’s love through service. For many years, GAP Ministry’s team of dedicated volunteers has built high-quality wheelchair-accessible ramps for people with disabilities in Effingham county.
On August 23rd the team completed another ramp for a LIFE consumer, giving them safe access in and out of their home. What may look like wood and nails in the photos below is so much more – it’s a gateway to independence, dignity, and freedom.
What makes GAP Ministry’s work truly remarkable is not just the craftsmanship, but the spirit in which they serve. Whether it’s in the blazing heat or under the threat of rain, they show up with determination, skill, and humor. Their ramps transform lives, one household at a time.
We are deeply grateful for GAP Ministry’s partnership and their unwavering commitment to accessibility. Each ramp is a success story, and this most recent build is another powerful reminder of how community service creates lasting impact.
