Living Well in the Community (LWIC) is a ten-week workshop grounded in Independent Living philosophy that can help people set and achieve quality-of-life goals, while building skills to support health and wellness. Trained facilitators guide workshop participants through information, discussions, and activities.
Join us for today's LIFE-Line peer chat at 1:00PM. This meeting will be held on Zoom, please let us know if you need help accessing it or to learn how to use Zoom. The chat is held on the first and second Thursday of every month. The LIFE-line peer support group is open exclusively to LIFE consumers as a safe space to talk with other people with disabilities confidentially. No registration required, but please call the office for login information and any accessibility questions or concerns at (912) 920-2414.

Living Well in the Community (LWIC) is a ten-week workshop grounded in Independent Living philosophy that can help people set and achieve quality-of-life goals, while building skills to support health and wellness. Our mission is to mobilize the citizens of Savannah and surrounding communities to address the scourge of the $150 billion/year human trafficking industry.
Services Provided
Raises awareness as well as on educating professionals and the general public about human trafficking. Contact for a presentation or more information.
Provides energy assistance for low-income families.
Qualifications to Receive Services
Families must meet requirements based on household income. Eligible households, where all adult are 65 or older or medically homebound, may receive assistance if funds are available. may receive assistance if funds are available.
Must have photo ID, proof of income for every member of the household, verification of Social Security and of total household income for the previous 30 days, and most recent home heating and electric bills.
