Disability Voting Rights Week (DVRW) is a nonpartisan movement hosted by the American Association of People with Disabilities and REV UP. DVRW is about advocacy, celebrating community, and building power.
Why:
The disability community makes up an important voting bloc. Disabled voters are a part of every community. Yet, systemic barriers prevent many people with disabilities from accessing their right to vote.
Who:
DVRW was created by grassroots disabled activists. DVRW is a cross-disability, cross-movement week of action. We invite all community members and allies to join us.

DVRW includes: voter registration and education events, candidate forums on disability issues, digital organizing, engaging with elected officials, and creative actions. You can:

Neurodiversity Is Beautiful Social Peer Group meets every Tuesday evening in person at LIFE, located at 4811 Waters Avenue in Savannah. This is not an open/drop-in group, you must register to participate.
Empowering neurodiverse adults and young adults to develop a local support network of peer support.

1:00 pm: 100 Days of Peace - Rock Painting with LIFE Peer Support Group
– September 12, 2024
Please join LIFE for 'Peace Rocks!' on Thursday, September 12th, at 1:00PM when we will gather at the Mediation Center to paint rocks to take and place around Savannah for others to discover in an effort to spread peaceful intent in our community!
The Mediation Center of the Coastal Empire's 100 Days of Peace is an intentional peacebuilding community outreach campaign, which is designed to raise awareness of the importance of peace in the Savannah community and to celebrate local peacebuilding efforts such as this one!
We will meet at The Mediation Center at 5105 Paulsen Street, Suite 125D in Savannah.
