Then please join us on the first and second Thursday of each month for the LIFE-Line Peer Support Chat Living with a disability can be challenging - but you’re not alone. This welcoming space is for people with disabilities in LIFE’s 20-county service area (including Screven and Savannah) to share, listen, and connect.
When: First and Second Thursday of each month

Have you ever wondered how to better support someone living with dementia, a parent, neighbor, friend, or member of your community?
Join LIFE, Inc. and the Coastal Regional Commission for a meaningful and engaging Dementia Friends Learning Session led by Dementia Care Specialist Kay McCurdy.
Wednesday, May 20th, 2026 from 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM

Registration is required - please call 912-920-2414 This interactive session is designed to help participants better understand dementia, recognize common signs and symptoms, and learn simple ways to communicate with compassion and support dignity and connection. Whether you are a caregiver, professional, family member, or simply someone who wants to make a difference in the community, this session offers practical insight and real-world tools you can use immediately.
Together, we can help create a more dementia-friendly community. One small action at a time.
This event is open to LIFE consumers and the broader community. We hope you’ll join us and invite others who may benefit from this important conversation.
