Brain injuries don’t always look the way people expect.
For many survivors, the impact is invisible - but very real.
A brain injury can affect memory, focus, energy, communication, emotions, balance, and so much more. Some days are manageable. Others take everything a person has just to get through.
And yet survivors continue to adapt, advocate, and move forward in ways that deserve to be seen and respected.
This month, we recognize the resilience of people living with brain injurie, and we also commit to listening, learning, and creating spaces that are more understanding and accessible for all.
Because not all disabilities are visible. And every experience is valid.
All day: Women’s History Month All day Women’s History Month 2026 will be celebrated from March 1 to March 31, with the theme "Leading the Change: Women Shaping a Sustainable Future." |

March 18, 2026(1 event) 1:00 pm: Boldly Blind: From Vision Loss to Leadership (hybrid) - IL Skills Workshop Join LIFE, Inc. for a special Independent Living Skills presentation with Vanessa Meadows, Assistant Manager at the Georgia Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled.
Diagnosed with Stargardt disease at age 11, Vanessa will share her personal journey navigating vision loss, the skills and supports that helped her build a successful career, and the services available through the Georgia Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled.
Participants will learn about resources, accessibility tools, and programs that support independence and community engagement for people who are blind or have low vision.

This weekend, LIFE, Inc. will host a resource table at the Forsyth Farmers’ Market to share information about the Gaylon Tootle Youth Vote Advocates Program — a leadership opportunity for youth with disabilities ages 16–29. Stop by to meet peer mentor Omari Blake, learn how to get “Vote Ready,” and find out how young people can build advocacy skills, connect with peers, and make a difference in their communities.

Organized by LIFE, Inc. and Savannah Adaptive Adventures, this tournament will welcome 16 athletes traveling from Atlanta, Augusta, and across South Carolina - including our very own local competitor, Mark Schreiber!
This isn’t just a tournament - it’s a celebration of skill, strength, and community.
We hope this event sparks greater interest and continued growth of wheelchair tennis — and all adaptive sports — right here in Savannah. Everyone deserves access to recreation, competition, and the joy of sport.
