Free. Registration required. Everyone is served except for convicted sex offenders.
Services Provided

Support, education and employment services. Hours: Monday-Thursday, 9 am. to 5 p.m. Fridays by appointment only. Goodwill donation drop-off boxes are also available here.

The Front Porch is a multi-agency resource center, designed to divert at-risk youth from becoming involved with juvenile court by linking them and their families to services.
Qualifications to Receive Services
Children up to the age of 18. Participation is voluntary.

* Pro-social activities (Performance Initiatives, Youth Intercept, i9 Sports, 100 Black Men, DEEP)

211 Information & Referral Service is a free, confidential service provided by United Way of the Coastal Empire to ensure every person in the community has access to the best resources available. Emergency funding may be available where there are gaps.
Qualifications to Receive Services
An application is required. Call 211 and a specialist will walk you through the process.

Depending on the assistance you need, you may be asked to provide any of the following:

* Paycheck Stub or W-2
* Separation Notice
* Medical Documentation supporting the inability to work
* Copy of Mortgage Statement
* Copy of Rental Lease
* Dispossessory, Eviction, or Late Notice
* Copy of Bill/Utility Statement
* Disability Award Letter
* Proof of Appointment
* Car Registration and Insurance
*Diagnostics from a reputable mechanic
Services Provided

United Way operates offices in Bryan, Effingham, and Liberty counties. These community service centers directly provide local health and human services that do not often exist in smaller communities. Beyond basic emergency relief services, they also provide backpacks for weekend food distribution to children in need, mobile food pantries, and volunteer opportunities for agencies supported by United Way.
