The Living Well in The Community workshop is a FREE ten-week, peer-led, workshop designed for people with disabilities to build skills, share ideas and explore opportunities they can use in their everyday lives to support choices for a healthier, more fulfilling lifestyle.
This workshop is much more than just another “health and wellness” workshop, it’s a comprehensive and whole-person approach to building lasting skills and attitudes for achieving self-identified goals that are unique to each participant. LIFE is honored to be chosen as one of only ten Centers for Independent Living in the United States to facilitate this unique program.
We can enroll up to 12 adults with a mobility disability of any degree (does not have to be a wheelchair user or use any mobility aid), and/or an Intellectual and Developmental Disability (IDD) and if you meet this criteria and would like to enroll, please contact us at 912-920-2414.
The workshop sessions begin April 20th at 10:00AM. The sessions are two hours long, some will be in person, and some will be virtual on Zoom. Cash equivalent gift cards will be awarded to participants at three stages of the workshop’s progress.
