    POSTPONED: Picnic for Prevention and Community Resource Fair April 1 - Statesboro

    Due to inclement weather, this has been postponed. The new date is August 19th.
    LIFE will have a resource table at the Picnic for Prevention and Community Resource Fair at Luetta Moore Park at 585 Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive in Statesboro. There will be over 32 community vendors/resources, as well as food, drinks, door prizes, a live radio broadcast, networking and fellowship. Bring your picnic blanket and join in the fun!

    The Living Well in The Community workshop is a FREE ten-week, peer-led, workshop designed for people with disabilities to build skills, share ideas and explore opportunities they can use in their everyday lives to support choices for a healthier, more fulfilling lifestyle.

    This workshop is much more than just another “health and wellness” workshop, it’s a comprehensive and whole-person approach to building lasting skills and attitudes for achieving self-identified goals that are unique to each participant. LIFE is honored to be chosen as one of only ten Centers for Independent Living in the United States to facilitate this unique program.

    We can enroll up to 12 adults with a mobility disability of any degree (does not have to be a wheelchair user or use any mobility aid), and/or an Intellectual and Developmental Disability (IDD) and if you meet this criteria and would like to enroll, please contact us at 912-920-2414.

    The workshop sessions begin April 20th at 10:00AM. The sessions are two hours long, some will be in person, and some will be virtual on Zoom. Cash equivalent gift cards will be awarded to participants at three stages of the workshop’s progress.

    Power of YOU! 2023 Conference for LIFE's Students for LIFE Program

    Living Independence for Everyone (LIFE) Inc. is pleased to invite your organization to participate in this year's Power of YOU conference! This is an exciting one-day, in person event for youth with disabilities who are transitioning to independence. There will be speakers, a scavenger hunt, a magician and a pizza lunch will be provided. Our resource area will provide students, teachers and parents an opportunity to connect with important community organizations. The event will be at The Hellenic Community Center at 14 W. Anderson St. in Savannah.
